Check it out!

I'm listed in The Handmade Product Directory!

You have to scroll down on the page since other listings have overtaken it! The feature included a photo of a casserole dish and the text that I copied into the comments section of this posting.

Shop For Functional Pottery With Class

Shop Hand Made From The Shopping Directory Of

Unique Stores & Creations Of Creative People

If you are looking for handmade pottery online, you can find it all over the internet today in any number of online stores. What you are looking for will of course guide what and where you buy but with so many good artisans out there it can be really hard to make a decision some times.

I’m going to help you out this time by making a suggestion. Vist Glynt Pottery Why Glynt Pottery you ask? Simple. They have some really neat stuff. How do you like that for really detailed. Honestly though Graciela the hands on the clay person at Glynt Pottery gives one very good reason right in the store announcements. “All my work is wheel-thrown or hand-built and fired in an electric or gas kiln (depending on the piece). I mix my own glazes, which are lead-free and food safe.”

Now if your piece of pottery is just going to sit on a shelf and collect dust, having it “Food Safe” certainly isn’t important. If however you lean towards functional pottery, you sure want to make sure it is “Food Safe”. Since, at least from what I can see in the store, the majority of pieces for sale fall into the functional category so it’s nice to know as a buyer you don’t have any worries on this issue.

What type of items will the shopper find at Glynt Pottery? Without actually naming all the pieces listed, I think it is best to say you will find everything from cups & vases to bowls & even electric lamps. There is certainly a wide selection to choose from.

As the picture above of a Serving Dish/Casserole with hand painted flowers shows, there is plenty of artistic inspiration and imagination plus a whole lot of talent in the hands of this potter. Also the colors used in the paints used certainly only enhance those pieces that are decorated with paintings. Although I haven’t asked, I wouldn’t be surprised to find a great deal of painting talent also residing in those hands also.

Well made pieces of pottery are items that will endure for many decades if not centuries and are always worth what the shopper pays for them. What is really nice is when you can find such quality combined with great talent and buy it at such reasonable a price. That is what you will find at Glynt Pottery.

You would be hard pressed to find a better present this holiday season than one that will be so well appreciated as a piece of great pottery. Stop by and see what I’m talking about.
